Manna House is an ideal spot for a couple of families or a group of friends looking for a Spanish holiday with a difference and off the beaten track. We also provide bed and breakfast accommodation in the individual rooms.
The building was previously an old barn that has been converted to create a holiday retreat. Where there were rabbits there are now visitors enjoying Catalunya and the Terres de L´Ebre.
There are five really large en-suite bedrooms with beautiful cool tiles underfoot and underfloor heating for the cooler months. Each has a huge walk-in wardrobe and a large wet-room type bathrooms with big showers and masses of towels. Usually there are three double rooms and two twin bedded rooms, but we can arrange them to suit your needs and there is also a cot available.
We also provide accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis when other bookings allow. The rooms are let individually for bed and breakfast, we do dinner and packed lunches if you want them. We will feed you with goodies such as savoury muffins, drop scones and home made jam for breakfast served with freshly made coffee or tea. Home made bread is available and served up with my jams and marmalades. We grow lots of produce here and these feature in our cooking as well as locally grown fruit and vegetables. The kitchen is well equipped with masses of equipment for both indoor and outdoor cooking. We leave charcoal and fuel for the barbecue and oil and jams for the kitchen as well as a small selection of essentials for your group.
The summer kitchen at the far end of the rooms has a huge barbecue for you to use that is big enough to do paella for a party of 10! Paella dish provided of course. There is light and power along with benches and a big dining table.
The ground beyond the terrace outside Manna House is flat and clean with old and new trees to sit beside and under. There are hammocks for you to find and relax in. The wall opposite the rooms has some old grape vines with sweet fruit for you to sample during the late summer months. Come at the right time and you can help Simon make some wine !
What is there to do on the farm, apart from relaxing?
If you are staying on the farm there is a huge selection of books to take and enjoy under a tree and a selection of indoor and outdoor games with cards, puzzles, bats and balls, table football, boules, badminton and skittles to play with as well. You are welcome to explore the finca and find a spot where you can enjoy the peace and quiet while you read or rest.
