Olives and more olives

The time has come to start picking. We have  helpers in place and the sun is shining. The crop looks reasonable and the weather set fair for the picking season.  As we walked round looking at the trees and getting an idea of how much there is to pick I walked past our adopted trees. Adopted by parents for new babies, married couples for  each other; whole families to remember their holidays and sisters for their olive loving brothers; and of course for friends a long way away.

They are happy trees ours.  Because of the Adopt an Olive Tree programme we can afford to look after them without the use of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides That means wonderful, chemical free Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
